When it comes to being a parent, sometimes one of the best things you can do is trust your instincts.
There’s just something to be said for gut feelings. Thankfully for 45-year-old Stu Bonsall, when he noticed something different about the way his four-week-old daughter Megan was crying, he didn’t think twice about looking stupid and instead sought out medical attention.
Like all babies, Megan certainly does her fair share of crying. That said, when Bonsall came home from work one night, he noticed his daughter’s wails were out of the ordinary.

Most pet owners spend more time than they’d like trying to train their pets to be obedient.
While it’s no surprise that our four-legged friends love and care for us, they really can’t be bothered in the command department. But of course, there are outliers. Some dogs are so loyal to their humans that they’d do absolutely anything they asked. The dog in this tragic story loved his owner so much that he would’ve waited for him in the same spot forever.

For a complete lesson on converting fractions to percents, go to http://www.MathHelp.com – 1000+ online math lessons featuring a personal math teacher inside every lesson! In this lesson, students learn to write percents as fractions and fractions as percents. For example, to write 6% as a fraction, remember that percent means “out of 100”, so 6% can be written as the fraction 6/100, which reduces to 3/50. So 6% can be written as the fraction 3/50. To write 7/10 as a percent, set up the proportion 7/10 = x/100, then use cross products to get (7)(100) = (10)(x), or 700 = 10x, and dividing both sides by 10, 70 = x. So 7/10 can be written as 70%.

How to Convert Percents to Decimals
———————————————————————
Percentage describes an amount “out of 100”.c For example, 22 out of 100 is 22%, and 243 out of 100 is 243%. A decimal number can be also used to describe a fraction out of 100.c You can change a percent into a decimal by moving the decimal point two places to the left. 1. For example, begin with 25%. 2. If there is no decimal shown, you can insert it at the end of the whole number to make it 25.0%. 3. To remove the percent, move the decimal point to the left twice. This makes 0.25, which is the decimal form of the percent. If you have a larger percent, such as 314.2%, move the decimal point over two places. This will become 3.142. After you have converted the percent to a decimal number, you can convert it back to a percent by moving the decimal point two places to the right (or by multiplying the number by 100).c

We’ll learn how to calculate percent composition by mass, and we’ll work through a number of practice problems. To calculate percent by mass, you need to determine two things: the mass of just the element, and the molar mass of the whole compound. Then, you take the molar mass of just the element and divide it by the molar mass of the whole compound, and multiply by 100%.

Hey, I’m professional poker player Nicky Numbers, and I’m going to talk to you about pot odds today. First of all, it’s really important to know what pot odds even are before we can talk about them. Pot odds are a term that is used in poker to reflect the ratio of the size of the pot to the size of someone’s wager. The wager that they make could be a bet, it could be a raise, it could be a re-raise. What we’re comparing is the call amount to you to the total amount in the pot. So let’s say we’er in the middle of a hand and this is the pot. Black chips are 100 and the green chips are 25. So we see there is 400 in black, another 100 in green, and another 100 in green. So there is 600 in this pot right now. If my opponent was to make a wager of 300 chips into this 600-chip pot, any amount that they put out is now part of the pot. So instead of the pot just having 600 in it, it is 600 plus my opponent’s bet of 300 for a total of 900.
The amount for me to call is 300. In order to figure out our pot odds, what we’re doing is we’re taking the call amount to use and seeing how many times that amount can go into the pot. In other words, how many times can 300 go into 900. Well 3 goes into 9 three times, which means that our pot odds are 3:1. The call amount is always the one in the ratio. 3:1 means that we’re literally getting 3:1 pot odds, or 3:1 odds on our call. If instead of betting 300 our opponent bet 600, they would have made a pot-size bet. Now their wager plus what was previously in the pot becomes the total pot. So instead of there being 600, there’s 1200 in the pot.
The call amount to us is 600. So how many 600s are there in 1200? Two. Remember, the call amount is always the one when you’re talking about pot odds. So it’s 1200:600, or 2:1. There’s a very quick short cut I’m going to show you that immediately know your pot odds.
If you know how much is in the pot, and you know what percentage of the pot your opponent bet, then you can easily know your pot odds. If my opponent makes a pot-sized bet, I’m getting 2:1. If they make a half pot-sized bet, I’m getting 3:1. If they make a quarter pot-sized bet, I’m getting 5:1. If they make a double pot-sized bet, I’m getting 1.5:1; however, you don’t even need to worry about any of that because most of the time your opponents are going to bet somewhere between half the pot and the full pot. Half the pot is 2:1, full pot is 3:1. Anything in between is going to be somewhere between 2:1 and 3:1.
In the case of a three-quarters pot-sized bet, that would be the exact midpoint, and that would be 2.5:1. So there are some quick ways to calculate your pot odds.

If you’re given the Percent Composition of a compound, you can find the Empirical Formula for it. I have the shortest method ever to do it, although it’s not a “full solution” like your teacher probably asks for.
1. Divide each % by the atomic mass of the element
2. Divide each of THOSE answers by whatever’s smallest
3. Adjust these numbers into their lowest whole-number ratio.

Decrease your body fat and maximize lean muscle with this program
http://athleanx.com/x/program-to-build-pure-muscle
Learning how to measure body fat at home is one of the best skills you will learn to assist you in your fitness transformation. Relying on the scale is simply not an accurate way to gauge progress since lifting weights is likely going to cause you to gain weight while you may be dramatically lowering your body fat percentage. A scale could make you think you are off track on your way to your lean goals.
Instead, mastering your measuring abilities of your own body fat will help you to determine your true progress. In this video, I show you how to measure your body fat yourself in your own home to figure out how close you are to your six pack abs. One method is more expensive than the other, however when you realize just how important this number will be to your progress, you may just find a way to add this tool to your gym equipment.
First, skin fold calipers are a classic home testing option. Are they the most accurate? No. However, they are the most readily available and don’t require the set up that a DEXA scan would. The tradeoff in accuracy is not that high, given that as you become more skilled in pinching…your accuracy could be within 1-3% of the exact number.
If you would rather use a more economical method for testing your body fat level at home however, you can easily do that as well. When you realize just what calipers are testing it becomes very easy to see how you can do this with a simple fifty cent tape measure. Calipers are literally measuring the thickness of the skin fold that you pinch when doing your body fat measurements.
If you can (easier when you enlist the help of someone else) simply pinch in the locations shown in this video and use a standard tape measure to mark out the thickness of the fold. Average out the results performed on your chest, abdomen and thigh and determine your body fat with this chart:
Ellington Darden:
1/4 inch pinch is 5 to 8 percent body fat
1/2 inch pinch is 9 to 13 percent body fat
3/4 inch pinch is 14 to 18 percent body fat
1 inch pinch is 19 to 22 percent body fat
1 1/2 inch pinch is 23 to 27 percent body fat
2 inch pinch is 28 to 32 percent body fat
2 1/2 inch pinch is 33 percent body fat and up
Alternatively, if you get your skin fold measurements either with a caliper or with the old fashioned tape measure method you can input them at https://www.escablo.com/en/app/Body-Fat-Percentage-Calculator to determine your current level of body fat.
For a complete workout and nutrition program geared at helping you to maximize every ounce of lean muscle you can build while minimizing your body fat, be sure to head to http://athleanx.com and get the ATHLEAN-X Training System.

Do you need help with basic math like subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, times tables and percents? Our basic math tutorials and learning interactives make learning math easier, and allow you to practice basic math skills at your own level and pace.
Want to have a better understanding of decimals and percents? This basic math tutorial offers simple and easy techniques for working with and converting decimals and percents, including how to deal with them when shopping.
Every time you go shopping, you are dealing with decimals and percents. But what is a percentage?
You must have seen signs that say Sale Today — 25% off! 25% tells you that you’re getting a good deal — you will save twenty five percent, or twenty five cents for each dollar that the item costs. The actual amount of money you don’t have to spend on the item is the percentage you’ve saved.
This lesson will teach you more about how percents are related to decimals and fractions. It will also give you the chance to practice:
• Changing percents to decimals
• Figuring percentages using sale prices
• Dealing with percentages
Math can be fun, when you’re shopping!
