This video is all about how to work out a reverse percentage and forms part of the playlist reverse percentages. In this question Andrew bought a saddle for £220 that had been reduced by 20% in a sale. You need to calculate the normal price – the easiest way is to convert to a decimal and divide through.

The question deals with Dave paying £5200 for a new car, after a 20% discount, and asks us to work out the normal price. The easiest way to deal with this is to change the percentage to a decimal and go from there.
